How to Generate AI Images with Edge Detection

Edge Detection is one of the most powerful features on ChatDesigner. Leveraging the ControlNet Canny technology, you can reimagine your images with reference to your original image’s edge, and the generated images will keep the shape from the referenced image. We make it super easy to use, without any software installation or complex operation, you can simply use prompts to create stunning images with reference to the edge from your original image.

Edge detection has a variety of use cases. You can turn sketch to reality photo, or furnish an empty room, or even change plain text to artistic word art, and many more.

  • [Target subject] with same edge
  • [Target style] with similar edge
  • Create image with similar edge

Examples:
  • Model with similar edge
  • Logo with similar edge in Chocolate
  • Bohemian Bedroom in the same edge

Pro Tips

  • Add more details to your prompt to help the AI understand your specific needs. For example, if you need specific color or texture, you should just mention it in your prompt.
  • ChatDesigner also offers openpose which enables you to create similar image with the same pose. The difference from same pose and edge detections are:
    1. Same pose only works when the original image has human body, and same edge doesn’t have that limitation.
    2. Generating similar image with same edge will mimic the shape of the original image, while same pose only mimic the gesture or pose of the original images.
If you need a new image that looks exactly like the original images with the same silhouette, use same edge instead of same pose.
